Hello and Welcome To Haley 6th Grade

My name is Derek Zellner (Mr. Z) this is my fifteenth year teaching in the east valley. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education / Physical Education from Northern Arizona University, I also hold a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University as well.

I have been married for 11 years. My amazing wife, Heidi, is also a teacher, teaching Honors Anatomy and Physiology and Honors Zooology at Williams Field High School.

I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of grade levels ranging from kindergarten to high school physical education. During the fall I also spend my time coaching high school varsity football.

Football is my sport of choice and I enjoy being a fan of The Denver Broncos and of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

When not teaching or coaching I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife and three boys.
