Battle of the Books

Knight inside book
The 2013-2014 Battle of the Books season is off and running. Team members will no longer be meeting after school on Wednesdays to study, prepare, and do mini battles. This year's students prefer to work independently or with their own teams rather than meeting collectively.

Students: be sure that you're keeping up with the reading so that you'll be competitive and not relying on one or two players to carry the team.

This year's reading calendar is below...
Sponsored by Chandler Schools and Chandler Public Library, “Battle of the Books” is open to 5th and 6th grader students.
  • Students work in teams of 1-3 students.
  • Team members will read four books for each competition.
  • Three times a year, the teams come together to answer questions on the assigned books.
  • The highest scoring team from each school will have the chance to compete with other schools within the district.
