Need a Carpool?

Parents:

One cause of slow dismissals is the number of cars utilizing our pick-up and drop-off line at one time. Carpooling can significantly reduce the traffic congestion that results from a low child-to-car ratio. We encourage you to complete the attached carpool registration form and participate in a carpool.

The carpool form can be returned to the office or your child’s teacher where the information will be compiled in a Carpool Information binder that is color coded according to where your address falls within our boundaries. Just look for it by the front office or ask when you stop by!  When you open the Carpool Information binder, you will see a list of phone numbers and parents (first name only) willing to participate so you can find others close to your neighborhood.   It’s just that simple!

Child safety is our overriding concern at Riggs. With that in mind, please plan on some delays in our parking area particularly in the early part of the year, after intersessions and during bad weather. With a touch of patience and courtesy, the drop-off and pick-up process will run smoothly and safely.
