My name is Shannon Gilbert.
 
I am currently one of two special education teachers here at CTA Freedom.  I have been teaching special education for 15 years.  I have been with the Chandler School District since 2005.  Prior to that I taught in the Gilbert School district.
 
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Masters in Education from Northern Arizona University.  I also hold a Structured English Immersion K-12 endorsement.
 
I was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona.  I moved to Phoenix in 1997.
 
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children.  As a family we enjoy, camping, hiking and traveling.
