Third Grade Curriculum
English Language Arts
Third graders continue with a full Spalding program of 30 spelling words, 70 phonograms, grammar and handwriting. Third grade begins learning Spalding cursive and it is used in all of their work once letter formations are secure.  As in the lower grades, Open Court is the chosen reading program.  Third grade also offers an above grade level class for students needing an additional challenge.
