Education/Professional Experience:
Welcome to 1st grade!  This will be my 7th year at CTA Independence and my 15th year teaching. 
 
I received my teaching degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Spanish from East Stroudsburg University, PA.  I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University.  I am also certified as a bilingual teacher K-8th. 
 
My teaching career began in 1998 in Stafford, Va where I taught 1st Grade for 6 years.  I then taught 2 years of Middle School in NJ (Language Arts and Spanish).

Personal Information:
I was born in El Salvador and came to the United States at the age of nine to New Jersey.  My husband, Bill and I enjoy spending time playing and hiking with our black lab puppy Maggie.
