emailDean of Students
I have been a part of the CUSD family since I started teaching at Conley in 2000. I made the move to Fulton during it's inaugural year, 2007. I am currently the Dean of Students at both CTA Freedom and CTA Independence.
I grew up in the Mesa/Chandler area and graduated from Dobson High School. I attended The University of Arizona (Go CATS!) where I received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Resources. In May 2000, I attended ASU and received my Post Baccalaureate in Elementary Education. In August 2003, I graduated once again from ASU with a Masters in English As A Second Language (Curriculum and Development). Most recently, December 2008, I completed my certificate in Educational Leadership from NAU. I am truly a lifelong learner from all 3 state colleges!
I am very excited to step into my new position as Dean of Students here at Independence. My role as dean is to be an advocate for students to ensure they are and feel safe while at school as they grow, both academically and socailly.
When not at school, I can be found spending time my husband Mike, daughter Peyton and son Owen! I am ready for another fun and exciting year in education.
