Hello Galveston Families!
PTO is incredibly proud of our Galveston students and teachers for making Galveston a Performing Plus school. We know it’s the dedication of the staff through a genuine love of our community that made this success possible! Go Galveston Lions!!
Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! We hope all our families had a restful 4-day weekend! The holidays are coming quick and the PTO would like to welcome parents to participate in our Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe, December 5^th through December 9^th! It’s a great way for the kids to purchase inexpensive gifts for the upcoming holidays
The PTO recently sponsored our annual carnival and it was a tremendous success! Many families turned out and the children had a great time. A special thanks to Mr. Esparza and the Si Se Puede Organization for their support of Galveston staff and families! Also, thank you to the teachers, Gilbert ROTC, and specifically Ms. Allison Davis and the carnival committee for the time that they dedicated to make this event such a success. Many more fun events and activities are coming throughout the rest of the year. We invite everyone to attend and welcome anyone who would like to help volunteer with these activities. There will be many opportunities to volunteer — both big and small.
Some events to look forward--the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop, held the first week of December, also, we will be hosting a movie night and creating a Galveston Cookbook in the spring!
Please feel free to contact any PTO board member with any questions or concerns. We have monthly PTO meetings, held in our cafeteria, and we would like to hear from you. To those who are new to Galveston, the PTO welcomes you, and we are looking forward to meeting you. This school year continues to promise to be filled with fun times, great events, and new friends!

Hola estimadas familias de Galveston!
La Organización de Padres y Maestros esta muy orgullosa de nuestros estudiantes y maestros por haber logrado subir dos niveles en la calificación del estado como una escuela Performing Plus. Sabemos que esto ha sido posible gracias a la dedicación del personal y a través del genuino cariño de nuestra comunidad. ¡¡Arriba Leones de Galveston!!
¡Bienvenidos de regreso del receso del Día de Acción de Gracias! Esperamos que hayan tenido un descansado fin de semana de 4 días! Los días festivos se acercan rápidamente y el PTO les esta haciendo una cordial invitación a participar en nuestro Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe (Tiendita Navideña), del 5 al 9 de Diciembre. Es una gran oportunidad para que los niños hagan compras de regalos baratos para los próximos días festivos.
Recientemente el PTO patrocinó nuestro carnaval anual el cual fue todo un éxito! Muchas familias asistieron y los niños se divirtieron mucho. Un especial agradecimiento al Señor Esparza y su organización Si Se Puede, por su apoyo a Galveston y sus familias. También queremos agradecer a los maestros, especialmente a la Srita. Davis y el comité del carnaval por el tiempo que dedicaron para hacer de este evento todo un éxito. Todavía tenemos más eventos formidables que tenemos programado a través de todo este año escolar. Les invitamos a asistir y participar como voluntarios para estas actividades. Habrá muchas oportunidades para ayudar como voluntarios.
Estos son algunos de los próximos eventos--El Penguin Patch Holiday Shop (Tiendita Navideña), que se llevara acabo la primera semana de Diciembre, también tendremos una noche de Cine y en la primavera estaremos creando un Recetario de Cocina de Galveston!
Por favor, si tiene alguna pregunta o dudas, póngase en contacto con un miembro del PTO. Tenemos juntas de PTO mensualmente en la cafetería, y nos gustaría mirarle por ahí. Para las nuevas familias de Galveston, La Organización de Padres y Maestros les da la bienvenida, y nos encantaría conocerle. Este año escolar continua prometiendo ser un año lleno de tiempos de diversión, grandes eventos y nuevos amigos!
