Dear Parents, As the year comes to a close I would like to express my gratitude to all the Hancock families for a wonderful year. It is an honor and privilege to work with your children and the staff here each day. I am proud of what the “Hancock Family” has accomplished this year. Our success can be attributed to your wonderful children, your fabulous support and a hard-working, caring staff. A special thanks to our PTO, Art Masterpiece volunteers, and Site Council who do so much for our students and staff. I would like to thank all of our volunteers who have given their time and energy in supporting Hancock’s classroom activities and school events. On May 16th, we will be recognizing our many parent volunteers who selflessly give their time to Hancock at a volunteer lunch. We hope you will consider becoming a Hancock Volunteer next year. Not only is your involvement in our school a benefit to us, but it is a great benefit to your child as well. A good school becomes a great school when parents get involved! The week of May 6th is National Teacher Appreciation week. I feel very fortunate to work with the wonderful teaching staff at Hancock Elementary School. They are truly a wonderful team of educators! I ask that you please encourage your child(ren) to write a note of appreciation to their teacher. These few words leave a warm and lasting memory! As we are moving towards the end of the school year, there are many year-end activities that you should put on your calendars. The Hancock Orchestra and Band are having a concert on Thursday, May 9th. Have a safe and enjoyable summer. I look forward to seeing you all on July 22nd to begin another great year! Fondly, Connie Hull |
