“What a school thinks of its library is a measure of what it thinks about education.”
U.S. Commissioner of Education
Welcome to the Sanborn Media Center! Here at Sanborn, we truly believe that our library is the heart of the school. We encourage our students to check out a variety of books that meet their interests and reading levels. We have over 14,000 different titles and over 25,000 books in circulation. We also have a parent resource center, so come down and check out some books today!
Kindergarten and 1st grade students are allowed to check out one book at a time. 2nd-4th grade may check out two books, while 5th-6th grade may have three books checked out at a time. The loan period for each book is three weeks. Students with overdue books will not be able to check out new material until the overdue book is returned. If a book is lost or damaged, it will need to be paid for before regular check-out can resume.
Kindergarten through 6th grade students visit the library once every 6 days during the specials rotation schedule. Rotation Days 1,2 ,and 3 are computer lab days; Rotation Days 4, 5, and 6 are library days.
