Welcome to Chandler High School, “School of Champions.” I’m excited to start my third year as Principal of Chandler High. I began my education career in Upstate New York and taught American History and Government, while also being active in high school athletics and student council. I received my Bachelors Degree in Education from the State University of New York College at Cortland and my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the New York State University at Albany. I moved to Arizona in 2004 to be closer to family. I live in the Chandler School District with my wife, Jessica and my two children, Eli 8 and Ava 5.
I am active in numerous professional organizations and currently serve in various leadership roles. My professional affiliations include the following: National Association of Secondary School Principals, Arizona School Administrators Inc. and the Chandler Rotary. I am currently serving as a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principal Board of Directors and was selected as the 2014 Met Life/NASSP Secondary School Principal of the Year for Arizona.
I’m truly honored to lead Chandler High School with such rich history and a tradition of excellence. Since 1914, Chandler High has been a leader in the state of Arizona, and across the nation, for its students’ achievements in Academics, Athletics, Arts and Career and Technical Education Programs. Chandler High is also home to Arizona’s oldest International Baccalaureate (IB) Program and one of only three schools in the state to offer a four year IB Program. A few of Chandler High’s recent accolades include:
The community of Chandler High is strong and I look forward to continuing the partnership between faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and the community as we build on the tradition of excellence at Chandler High School. This is the “School of Champions,” we are the Wolves!
