Leadership Laboratory Activities Camp (Summer Leadership School)

Each year during the summer break, AZ-862 joins with other Army, Navy and Air Force JROTC units around Arizona at the Inter-Service Summer Leadership School (ISSLS) on a military installation. The Air Force JROTC Headquarters has opted to change the name of Leadership School to Leadership Laboratory Activities Camp(LLAC).

The 2013 ISSLS/LLAC will be held once again  at Ft Huachuca, AZ, from 10-14 June.  All current cadets who are returning to the corps in the fall of 2013 are eligible to attend. First time attendees have first shot at slots.  A sports physical is required to attend ISSLS/LLAC.

At ISSLS/LLAC, cadets have an opportunity to learn to work together with cadets from other schools, lead and manage larger formations or organizations that  are not available in their home units during the year and develop their followership skills.  The format is all military for the 4 and 1/2 days, and cadets spend their days in numerous challenging activities such as:
- Rappelling
- Obstacle Course
- First aid and Buddy Care
- Leadership Reaction Course
- Orienteering
- Water Survival Training
- Knot Tying
- Self Defense
- Field Day competitions
