System Requirements

Hardware/Software System Requirements

Chandler Online Academy courses are designed to be accessible from a wide variety of computer systems and require only basic software applications/plug-ins that can be downloaded from the internet at no cost to students. It is most likely that your system has already been updated with the neccessary components to access our courses. If you run into problems, please ensure your computer meets the following software/hardware requirements:

Basic Requirements

High speed internet access
Sun Java 1.4.2 JRE or higher
Flash 9.0 or higher
Shockwave (Operating System Dependant)
Acrobat Reader 7.0.9 or higher

PC Requirements

Pentium III (500 MHz minimum, higher recommended)
Minimum of 10 gigabytes free HDD space
128K internet connection. A broadband connection is strongly recommended
Windows XP, or Vista
Microsoft Office, Open Office (free) or Google Docs (free)
512 MB Ram
Display setting 1024x768 resolution
Internet Explorer version 7.0 or higher (Click here to download) or Firefox version 2.0 or higher (click here to download)
Sound card and speakers
Required for language courses: microphone or headset

256 MB Ram
